As the Construction Manager at Risk for The Hilton Garden Inn in Grand Forks, Community Contractors managed the project from design through construction completion. This hotel project was finished in a record six-month time frame—construction began in May 2002 and the hotel opened its doors for business on November 22, 2002. On average, Hilton Garden Inn new hotel construction typically takes nine – 12 months to complete. Connected to the University of North Dakota via a skywalk, the three-story Hilton Garden Inn has 100 guest rooms, three meeting rooms with 3,500 square feet of flexible meeting space, a heated indoor pool, whirlpool and fitness center, a lounge area with fireplace and television, restaurant, business center and on-site guest laundry facility.
