Ruann Deschene

Project Manager/Coordinator

Every project starts on the right track with Ruann. She meets with developers, design team members, and subcontractors to coordinate the design phase of a project. She prepares bidding documents, reviews subcontractor & supplier bids, and coordinates workflow for seamless, swift progress on each project. As a project manager, Ruann solves on-site problems, prepares and negotiates change orders, approves supplier & subcontractor payments, ensures all on-site activities are in accordance with the specifications and drawings, and takes care of project close-outs. She was Senior Project Manager for Evergreen Hall at UMC, and she was also involved in contractor administration for both the Ralph Engelstad Arena and the Alerus Center. While providing contractor administration, Ruann works on the project from preconstruction all the way through final completion.

Ruann has been with Community Contractors, Inc., since 1989 and has her Bachelor’s in business administration degree in information management from the University of North Dakota. Away from work, Ruann enjoys her kids’ events, time with family at the lake, and myriad craft projects.
